I love W220!!

Many should know that I've been transferred to another CG. My new CG is W220. This is the 3rd week that I'm going to be with them. Well, I really thank God for this group of young people! They are such nice people who made me really comfortable in there.

Finally their very mature Bro, Kelvin came back from Thailand. Wow! I was really impressed when I saw him on Sat during CGM. I really feel that the whole CG united again because of him. He really sat the CG down and set rules for everyone. I was so challenged to have to memorise everyone's HP no. It was a great challenge though. I managed to get everyone's no. by hard on the way to church yesterday. Hopefully the no. are still in my mind. Ha!

Anyway, seeing him so in love with God and His people really makes me feel that I don't love God and His people enough. I was a little discouraged about myself. Felt a little inadequate. However, I thank God for His encouragement through Eunice and His Word for me in Isaiah 43.

Now, I'm more determined to work together with this wonderful group of people. I am secure in who I am in God too! I believe God will move powerfully through W220!!

P/S: Don't get me wrong. I still love W140!!! ;)

Jesus is the Minister of the true sanctuary!

Hey! I've been trying very hard to blog about what I learnt on Wed BS. However, my computer doesn't seem to like me blog.. I typed halfway through on Wed night and my computer hang. I pray that I'll be able to finish what I want to say and have a good fellowship time with God later!

Well, we rushed through the quick summary of the previous lesson before starting on lesson proper. Bro Kim Hock taught so fast that many of us were lost. Some were so lost that they lost interest in the lesson. However, I thanked God that I remained focused in listening and catching whatever that I can from him. Bro Kin Hock went a little off halfway through and started sharing about his mission trip to China a few weeks ago. Wow! I could sense his excitement as he shared. I could also identify with the kind of excitement that he had because that was the kind of excitement that we've been feeling since last week. Bro Kim Hock said, "There is excitement when you know you are in the will of God." Wow wow wow!!! I'm in the will of God!!

How many of us have our own favorite preacher?? How many have ever made comments like, "Oh, this week Pastor Kong is not preaching, I doubt I'll ever learn anything from this pastor who is preaching." Or rather, "I prefer Pastor so & so to preach instead of this." Ha! I was once guilty of that. Do you know that Jesus is the one who is actually ministering instead of the person who is preaching? Jesus is the Minister of the true sanctuary!!!! No matter how boring a service or BS may be? Jesus is the One who is ministering. We'll still learn something from that "boring" sermon!! We'll still catch something in the Spirit!! So no matter who is preaching, I always prepare my heart to get ready for the message and Jesus will minister to me and bless me!!

Another thing that I've learnt is why we are called OVERCOMERS! God knows that there are lots of challenges in life that we have to go through. So He made all of us OVERCOMERS. To overcome all our problems. We all have the ability to overcome, but are we using that ability given to us? I looked back at my past and realised how many "mountains" I'd overcomed and I'm still overcoming. Each time I walk over one, I will rejoice and know that another one is coming! Though there are never ending problems to be solved, I know that I grow stronger each time I overcome. There's a sense of satisfaction and victory. Many times there are struggles and we met problems because our will is clashing with God's will. However, when we learnt to let go and let God and say, "God, let your will be done and not mine." God will help us overcome and we walked through that victoriously again. I like what Bro Kim Hock said, " I rather suffer now, overcome the problems, when we come to the Great Tribulation, I can stand strong and firm. Than, keep siam-ing all my life and when we come to the Great Tribulation and DIE!"

Ha! How true that is!!! So many people have been running away from their problems and never get to solve their problems. So they never get to grow stronger at all. So when things happen all of a sudden, they wavered, collapsed or even have thoughts of leaving church. Our God works in contrary to how the world works. God wants us to keep overcoming every single challenge in our lives so that we can keep on building up on our own faith in God so that we are ready for whatever that comes in out way. In that way, nothing will overwhelm us again. God will never ignore us when we really come to Him with a humble heart, surrendering everything to Him. I'll never let my will clash with God's will ever again because I love Him and I know He loves me too!

My singing journey...

Hi all! I'm back again! I guessed I've grown to like blogging. It's a tool for me to write down my thoughts so that I can keep reminding myself what God has done for me. It's wonderful, and it's totally amazing what God has done for me this whole year.

I guess I need to clear the air of a question which most people will ask whenever they see me in church. Just yesterday alone, I was asked the question more than 4 times. A lot of people has been asking why I've not been singing on stage, or they'll see me and thought I was singing for the services. Well, if you asked me a month ago, my answer would have been, I don't know how to explain. I'm just not singing. Why? I do not know. However, now I have the confidence to answer the question! I have not been singing ever since I came back from Israel. It was a long 6 months' break. It was a terrible wait, not knowing if I'm still considered to be in the ministry. There was so much uncertainty and doubt within me. I've been left on the shelf because Sis Belle feels that I need to build up on my spiritual capacity. God knows I have to build my walk right with Him first before bringing me back. It was a humbling process. She conducted a few practices for a few of us and reminded us of the Potter and the clay story. Indeed, we are the clay that God is moulding. Whenever God feels that we are not in good shape, He'll put us through the burning furnance to purify us and to mould us into shape. However, when that is done and something is still not quite right, He'll leave us on the shelf. That's the humbling process. A time to develop patience and to keep trusting and believing that He is with us and will use us one day. Many times, it is when we let go of ourselves and say that God, I leave everything into your hands, that God will begin to take us off the shelf to use us. I can testify of this.

I can still remember the time when I went for my 1st choir audition. I was a little nervous. Everything was alright until I stepped out of my house to go for the audition. I started to sneeze and had a very bad flu. My nose was blocked and my countenance was very very bad. I failed the audition. It was a very disheartening moment because I know that's what I like to do and what God wants me to do. I couldn't understand why all that happened. It was a time of knowing that God has His perfect timing for everything to happen. It was also a time that God wants to know if I'm really willing to sing for Him no matter what happens and whether I can keep trusting that this is His calling for me. To cut the long story short, I was very sure this is what God has called me to do. So I went for my 2nd audition about 1 year later with a heart of knowing that if it's God's timing, I'll get in. I just let go of myself and let God do whatever that is pleasing to Him. True enough, that was His timing and I got in. Miraculously, I got into the BV ministry in the next 6 months. Why is it miraculous? Well, at that time there was a "rule" that said I had to be in choir for at least a year before I qualify to go for the BV audition. All and all, God is just great! It is great to know that everything will just go according to the will of God and His timing.

It is a wonderful journey living as a Christian. A journey of letting go of ourselves and lifting everything up to Him. Bit by bit I learned and leaps by leaps I move. After all the long introduction, I'm coming to my main point. I thank God that after being left on the shelf for so long, He is still my faithful God who will never let me down. After the practices with Sis Belle, there will be 2 outcomes. 1: Remain in BV ministry. 2: Go back to Choir ministry. I called Sis Belle yesterday and was assured that I'm still in the BV ministry. Actually I don't mind serving in choir as well because I'll still be singing for Him. However, I was excited because I know in can impact MORE lives when I sing as a BV. So I'll be back on stage again next year. 2004 is coming to an end. And I believe it's gonna end with a BIG BANG!

Something to share...

Although I'm very tired physically, I thank God that my Spirit is very much ALIVE! So here I am, before I go to bed today, I shall share about some revelation. Before I share about what I've caught during the services, I shall talk about my revelation through a conversation with Michelle.

We were having our lunch after the 9a.m. service today. Michelle then mentioned about her having a table but she never uses the table to do work. She'll do things on her bed instead because she's used to that. She just stacked lots of notes on her table. My "light bulb" lit up. How many times are we given things in life and yet we didn't make FULL use of the things? God has given us talents in life. Are we using the talents to its FULL potential? How many times have we seen the purpose of having such a talent and yet we belittle that purpose or perhaps didn't see the need of using that God given talent because we are comfortable at what we are doing now? I'm not sure if you'll get what I mean. Just want to say that a table is for writing and doing work, but don't congest it with lots of other things that will prevent the main use. Sometimes a lot of other things may come into our life to distract and block us from using our talents to it's utmost potential. So, we got to be careful to clear some of the unnecessary stuffs off our "tables". Sometimes, we may be so comfortable doing what we used to do and forget that God has given us talents to use.

My "light bulb" has been working rather actively today. Was just talking to Deb online and she said that her mouth is still in pain. She has an ulcer and she couldn't eat, or rather have no appetite to eat because of the pain. Sometimes there may be a problem somewhere and that problem is causing much hurt and loss of interest in some basic necessities in life. Why then are we delaying to solve the problems? Is it because in our heart we are not daring enough to try out the different solutions? I guessed so. However, I believe God has given us solution for all problems. No matter how big or small our problems may be, God is able to provide us with the right solutions.

I want to blog more... but I guessed I'll leave it till tomorrow. It's time to go do some other work. Cya tomorrow!

I'm excited!!!

Wow! Just read my dearest Huiling's blog on the NEW SHOES. I've put on mine!! How about you?? Well, I'm really excited today for a couple of reasons.

Firstly, I've got 3 friends coming for service this week!! More than just bringing them to boost the attendance, I'm excited because I know they'll be blessed by the Word of God. One of them promised to come after the school exams but kept disappointing me, but thank God she's coming tomorrow!! One promised Huiling to come every once a month and she's coming for this Sun 9am service. Another one was my student. Or rather my LITTLE friend in school. I didn't teach her, but she's been a great help to me during my 1st year in school. I owe my ACES day 2003 success to her! She did the PA system for me and got helpers to help me. I'm forever grateful to her. Ever since I know her, it's been in my heart to want to reach out to her. I've invited her once and was sorry that it caused her to quarrel with her mum. This time I muster my courage to ask her again and she agreed! I'm over the moon! I'm gonna pray that she'll understand the Word and she'll enjoy the service and the companions of my new CG members. By the way, in case you are wondering why is she my LITTLE friend, she's young but TALLER than me. So, she's not that LITTLE afterall. Haha!

Secondly, I went for Rev Dr John Avanzini's service today! It was really awesome!! It was something that requires time to think about and absorb. However, my spirit caught the Word faster than my brain did! Dr John talked about Jehovah Jireh! Do you know that this wasn't the name of God?! It's the name of the place where we know and we know that our God will provide! It's the place where we received God's promises! The place of victory is actually where I KNOW I have it and not during the time of manifestation. And we all got to make up our mind that God's promises are for us! They are for me and YOU too! Dr John also talked abt being God's steward. I'm really convicted in my heart to be a good steward of God's money whenI get my pay. All my money belongs to God. How can I squander them away unnecessarily?! I'm gonna spend His money wisely from today onwards.

Thirdly, talking about spending money wisely, I just made a new pair of spectacles. It's gonna make me look a little more mature. I guess that's something rather good for me! Haha! Finally I'm not going to look like a 16 year old gal. Don't be mistaken! I don't mind looking young, but I don't want to look like a 16-year-old-easy-to-bully person. Haha! Those who were present at my aunt's shop actually agree that this pair of spectacles suits me well. I shall wear it to church one of these days when I get it.

Fourthly, I'm excited to announce: I'm getting my pay in a few hours' time!!!!! And I'm excited to tithe my salary to my Father!!! I think this is the 1st time in my life that I'm so excited about tithing. I've really caught the Word deep in my heart! Thank God for the wonderful Word brought forth by Dr John.

Lastly, I just want to end by saying it's time to read God's Word again. I'll get new revelations and share again tomorrow. God says He'll provide FRESH manna EVERYDAY. Thank God for His revelations!!

40 days 40 nights (Part 2)

I was praying last night and before I ended my prayer, I asked God if He has anything to speak to me. Well, He just reminded me of Moses again. Remember Moses went up to pray for 40 days 40 nights before coming down with the 2 tablets of stones written with the 10 Commandments? The story didn't just end there. He came down, saw the Children of Israel sinning against God AGAIN. He was so angry that he threw the tablets on the floor and broke them. After that, he went up to pray for ANOTHER 40 days 40 nights. I learnt quite a lot from this story.

1. We ought to pray and keep on praying.
2. Sometimes even after much praying, we may not see what we desire to see and there will
still be disappointments.
3. It's ok to be angry, but after the anger, keep praying.
4. Moses' love for the people is so deep that he did not give up praying for them.

To sum it all, God just wants us to know that our love for people has to grow. It is only when we love them so much that we'll keep on praying for them and want to see them saved in the kingdom of God. Men are not perfect. Along the way, there will definitely be disappointments. However, if we love them, continue to pray for them. I have to increase my love for the people. This is an area that God keeps speaking to me for the past few months! I better do something about it. How? I guess only prayer can change things. I must pray and ask God to fill me with His love. Only when I am filled with His love, then I'll be able to spread His love to others.

Do you have faith?

We had a prayer meeting last night at Ying's house. I don't know about the rest, but I was stirred up in my spirit and my faith increased. I sensed God wants to ask all of us a question, "Do we have faith?" Yes! No matter how tired or disappointed we may be, there will still be a little faith within us! Jesus said as long as we have faith as small as a mustard seed, we'll be able to move mountains!! This is what God spoke to me and got me really excited! Isn't this a great promise from God? So I have faith to believe that whatever I pray, as long sa it is according to the will of God and it is in faith, it will come to pass!!!

Also, today during BS, we learnt that Moses prayed for 40 days and 40 nights for the Children of Israel in order to ask God for His mercy for His people. He prayed and he prayed and he prayed and God answered His prayers. How long have we prayed for something to happen? Have we given up after praying once or twice? Do you think you've prayed hard enough?? Well, Moses prayed for 40 days and 40 nights. So, we ought to pray and keep on praying!!

Yeah! That's all I want to say for the time being because I want to pray and keep on praying for a breakthrough in my own personal life and for my CG, both W140 and W220. Let's pray hard together!

Praise the Lord!!

It's amazing! My computer keyboard is suddenly working!! And I can now use my computer again. Praise the Lord!

I'm not going to blog a long entry. Just wanna share something that Ying had prayed for me 2 or 3 weeks ago. This is the Word that was given to me by God through Ying. God brought me to that beautiful chapter again during one of the services. I shall just quote a few verses. Read Isaiah 43 when you have the time.

"Since you were precious in My sight, you have been honored, and I have loved you; therefore I will give men for you, and people for your life. Fear not, for I am with you." -Isaiah 43:4-5-

"Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." -Isaiah 43:18-19-

I believe this chapter will bring me through the next few months of my life. Isn't it a wonderful promise that God has made? He will always perform the impossible and give us hope no matter how lost or desperate we may be.

Huiling's Graduation!

Hee! To make up for not blogging for so long, I've decided to blog 2 entries instead. Haha! Also because both entries don't really go well together under 1 heading. Haha! So here I go!

While waiting for the main audi's door to open, I decided to take some photos. So enjoy some of the masterpiece. Haha!

Take a look at the crowd that was queueing and waiting to get into the main audi to attend the graduation.

And of cause, how can miss out putting pictures of the main star of the night? Sa to say, most of the photos are with her now and I couldn't load them. So meanwhile, enjoy what I have here.

Can u see how fast she moves? Thank God only her hand is moving here.

Huiling with the card we made for her. Nice?!

Representatives of W140!!

That's all I've got for the time being. Last but not least again, the following message is for the STAR!!

CoNgRaTuLaTiOnS to my DeArEsT hUiLiNg for your GrAdUaTiOn!!! Well done!! You've completed and gotten a Diploma in Theology! I'm so happy for you! You have climbed on to greater heights and moved closer to your destiny!!! I'm so proud of you! China is waiting for you... and ME!!

It's a new beginning!!

Well well well! I guess each time I blog, I need to start of by apologising for taking such a long time to update my blog. Had actually wanted to blog yesterday but was too tired and had a very bad headache. Even till now, the left side of my brain is still a little in pain... but I believe I'll be well when I wake up in the morning. If not, please pray for me!

Anyway, yesterday was supposedly my last day with W140. I'm going over to W220. With much emotions within me, I tried not to cry but I still teared. I know it is a great opportunity that God has given to me to rise up to His calling. There's really nothing to be sad about but it's a happy thing that I'm leaving. However, I can't bear the thought of leaving those that I've spent so many years with and also the thought that my Christmas and Appreciation CG this year will not be spent with them. Anyway, I want to say that: W140, I love all of you! No matter where I'll be, we are forever friends, brothers and sisters in Christ.

Perhaps some of you only see that it's a good thing that I'm leaving to pursue my calling. However, I believe God don't just do something for the benefit of one person. I believe God is doing a work in everyone's lives as well. For W140, it's time for everyone to go up to the next level of taking initiative to do things for the CG. It is time that I leave my comfort zone and step into the unknown. It is also time that everyone leave their comfort zone too and do more for God and for the CG. God is doing something that caused us not to remain where we are but to move on. It's a pity that I won't be there when W140 multiply. However, I'll be there to share your joy and rejoice together with all of you when it happens. Keep praying and stay connected as a CG. I think I'll miss serving you all and helping Huiling to do things. Now, I hand my responsibilities over to the rest of you to help and to serve.

To be a leader isn't as easy as what we think. A leader needs lots of support and understanding from his/her members. That's what my dearest Huiling needs. There are many things in life which we can't help her but we can help to lighten her load by supporting her and understanding her through our actions. When everyone starts doing the right things on their own accord, that is when the CG will start to grow. We've talked so much about taking ownership of the CG, so let's put MORE actions into our words!

Last but not least, I just want to proclaim: It's a new beginning for all of us!! Onward Christian soldier!!
